By accessing or using StarKids, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use StarKids.

2. Description of Service

StarKids is a children's educational platform designed to make learning fun and engaging. Our service provides:

  • Daily structured learning quests across 19+ subjects
  • AI-powered explanations and educational stories
  • Achievement tracking with a star-based reward system
  • Interactive educational games including time learning and maths
  • Progress tracking and reporting for parents
  • Event management and party invitation tools

3. User Accounts

Parents or legal guardians create and manage accounts on StarKids. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Supervising your children's use of the platform
  • Ensuring all information provided is accurate and up to date

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children may only use StarKids under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

4. Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day free Premium trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start your trial.

At the end of the 30-day trial period, your account will automatically downgrade to the Free tier. You may upgrade to a paid plan at any time during or after the trial to retain access to Premium features.

5. Subscription & Billing

StarKids offers monthly and annual subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled
  • Payment is processed through Stripe, our secure payment provider
  • Pricing is subject to change with at least 30 days' prior notice
  • You will be notified of any pricing changes via email before they take effect
  • Annual plans offer a discounted rate compared to monthly billing

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via the Stripe Customer Portal.

  • 30-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with StarKids, request a full refund within 30 days of your first payment
  • Monthly plans: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Annual plans: Pro-rated refunds are available within the first 30 days; after 30 days, the subscription remains active until the end of the billing year

7. Children's Privacy

StarKids is committed to protecting children's privacy and is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  • Parental consent is required before any child data is collected
  • We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our educational services
  • We do not sell, trade, or share children's personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
  • Parents can review, modify, or delete their children's data at any time

8. Acceptable Use

StarKids is intended for educational purposes. You agree to:

  • Use the platform only for its intended educational purpose
  • Not share your account credentials with others
  • Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Not upload inappropriate or harmful content
  • Not use automated tools to access the service without permission

9. Intellectual Property

StarKids and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StarKids and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all data and content you create on the platform, including achievement records, photos, and child profiles. You grant StarKids a limited licence to use this content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

10. Limitation of Liability

StarKids is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StarKids shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to StarKids in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of StarKids after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
